The National Science Foundation, operating under the purview of the Ministry of Science and Technology, is pleased to announce the continuation of its nature observation initiative, “Kid Naturalist" programme. This engaging programme is designed for students in Grades 1 to 6 across both local and international schools in Sri Lanka.
“Kid Naturalist” aims to cultivate curiosity and appreciation for the natural world among young learners through hands-on exploration and guided observation activities. By fostering early interest in science and the environment, this programme supports the development of future stewards of nature.
The registration for the programme 2025 is now open
Important Dates :
- Application deadline: 29th September 2025
- Date to commence the project on observation: 29th September 2025
- Duration of the project observation: 6 weeks (Deadline -10th October)
- Duration for the preparation of the nature journals: 2 weeks (Deadline - 24th October)
- Deadline for submission of the Nature Journals to NSF: 31st October 2025
