ජාතික විද්‍යා පදනමේ සුබසාධන සංගමය මගින් සංවිධානය කළ සෞඛ්‍ය සායනය හා උපදේශන වැඩසටහන 2024 නොවැම්බර් මස 29 දින පෙ.ව. 9.00 සිට ප.ව.1.00 දක්වා ජාතික විද්‍යා පදනම් පරිශ්‍රයේදී ඉතා සාර්ථකව සිදුකරන ලදී.
මෙම වැඩසටහන ස‍ඳහා ප්‍රධාන වශයෙන් දකුණු කොළඹ ශික්ෂණ රෝහලේ වෛද්‍ය දමිත පියදිගම මහතා ප්‍රධාන හෙද නිළධාරිනී පූජනී ගුණසේකර මහත්මියද ඇතුළු එම රෝහලේ වෛද්‍ය කණ්ඩායමත්, කොළඹ මහ නගර සභාවේ මහජන සෞඛ්‍යය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ වෛද්‍ය කේ. ඒ. සී. එස්. ජයම්පති මහත්මිය, වෛද්‍ය පුන්සරා චත්‍රපානි මහත්මිය ද ඇතුළු වෛද්‍ය කණ්ඩායම ද දායකත්වය දැක්වූහ. අප ආයතනයේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල් තුමිය ආචාර්යය සේපාලිකා සුදසිංහ මහත්මියත්, අතිරේක අධ්‍යක්ෂ තුමාත්, අංශ ප්‍රධානීන් මෙන්ම අප ආයතනයේ සියයක් පමණ වන කාර්යය මණ්ඩලයද සහභාගීත්වයෙන් මෙම වැඩසටහන ඉතා සාර්ථකව නිමා විය.
අප ආයතනයේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල් තුමිය වන ආචාර්යය සේපාලිකා සුදසිංහ මහත්මියගේ මග පෙන්වීම යටතේ මෙවැනි වැඩසටහනක් දියත් කිරීමට කටයුතු සිදු කෙරිනි. තවද මෙහි මූලික අරමුණු ලෙස දැක්විය හැක්කේ,
ආයතනයක යහපැවැත්මට එහි සිටින කාර්යය මණ්ඩලය යහපත් ශාරීරික හා මානසික වශයෙන් සෞඛ්‍ය සම්පන්නව සිටිම නිසා ඔවුන්ගේ කාර්යක්ෂමතාවය හා ඵලදායීතාවය ඉහල නැංවිය හැකි බවත් එමගින් සමාජයට දිය හැකි සේ වය උසස් අන්දමින් සිදුකල හැකි බව විශ්වාස කරන බැවිනි.

යහපත් සෞඛ්‍ය පුරුදු පිළිබඳ දැනුම ලබා දීම ආදී මිළ කල නොහැකි සේවයන් ලබා දීමට කටයුතු යොදා තිබිණි.
ඉහත සඳහන් කළ වෛද්‍ය කාර්යය මණ්ඩලය ඇතුළු හෙද කාර්යය මණ්ඩල‍යේ වටිනා ශ්‍රම දායකත්වයෙන් සහ අප සතු පැවති අවම සම්පත් භාවිතා කර පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ දී ඉතා ඉහල මුදලකට සිදු කරන මෙම සෞඛ්‍යය සායනය නොමිලේ අප ආයතනයේ සේවක මහත්ම මහත්මීන්ට ලබා දීමට දායක වූ සැමදෙනාමට ස්තුතිවන්ත වන අතර ඉදිරියේදී තවත් උසස් අන්දමින් මෙවැනි වැඩසටහන් වාර්ෂිකව සිදු කරන ලෙස බොහෝ දෙනකුගේ ඉල්ලීම විය.
Another step towards a healthy workforce
A Health Clinic and Counseling Program organized by the Welfare Association of the National Science Foundation was successfully conducted on 29th November 2024 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm at the National Science Foundation.
The medical team of the Colombo South Teaching Hospital, including Dr. Damitha Piyadigama, Chief Nursing Officer Mrs. Poojani Gunasekara, and the medical team from Public Health Department of the Colombo Municipal Council including Dr. K. A. C.S. Jayampathy and Dr. Punsara Chathrapani contributed immensely to this program. This program was successfully completed with the participation of NSF Director General, Dr. Sepalika Sudasinghe, Additional Director, Heads of Divisions and all staff members of our institution. This programme was initiated and conducted under the guidance of our Director General, Dr. Sepalika Sudasinghe.
The main objective of this program is to ensure good physical and mental health of staff, which can increase their efficiency and productivity and thereby enable them to provide superior service to society.
Therefore, during the programme, invaluable services such as advice on all kinds of diseases, eye examination, women’s wellness clinic, knowledge on good health habits, etc. were provided to the NSF staff.
We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed in various ways to make this programme a success. It was also noted that if this clinic had been conducted by a private sector institution the cost would have been very high. The employees of the NSF received this benefit free of charge from the above-mentioned professional medical and nursing staff using a minimum of resources, which is exceptional and duly acknowledged. Many of the staff members requested that such programs need to be conducted annually with improvements in the future.
