The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya ─ the premier Faculty of Agriculture in the country ─ celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in an imposing manner at the Waters Edge Hotel, Battaramulla on the 20th December 2023. In conjunction with the celebrations, it felicitated several public and private sector institutions that have been strategic partners and catalysts in propelling the Faculty of Agriculture to its present dazzling heights.
The NSF which has provided substantial support to the Faculty of Agriculture through research grants and capacity building over several decades was among the institutions that were felicitated. Prof. Ranjith Senaratne, Chairman of the NSF, represented the NSF on this historic occasion.
Dean, senior staff and many distinguished alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture were present on this occasion which was graced by Prof. M.D. Lamawansa, Vice-Chancellor, University of Peradeniya.
