Calling Applications for Science Popularization Awards for Media Personnel 2026

The National Science Foundation invites applications from professional media personnel for the NSF Media Award for Science Popularization 2026, recognizing outstanding contributions to the popularization of science and promotion of scientific literacy in Sri Lanka.

Eligibility & Criteria :

  • Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
  • Work must have been publicized between 1st January 2023 – 31st December 2025.
  • Submissions may include print, Radio, TV, cinema, or social media productions.
  • Only individual professional media personnel are eligible (group work not considered).

Application Guidelines:

Application should accompany:

  • Summary of work undertaken during the specified period.
  • Academic and professional background details
  • Proof for recognition as a media professional (e.g: media ID)
  • Evidence of contribution to public awareness and scientific literacy.
  • Annexes (articles, magazines, books, TV/Radio productions, social media
    content, etc)

How to Apply:

Completed dossiers should be post to Director General, National Science Foundation with the subject line "NMA 2026” on top left hand corner of the envelope. Application deadline : 15th June 2026

Note: NSF may request hard copies or authentication proofs if necessary.
