The NSF has established a Programme to create awareness among school children on   Mitigation and Management of Natural Disasters.

 A series of  creative story books/booklets written  on Natural Disasters that are prevalent in the country will be published

 The main objective of this programme is to save the lives and minimize the damage/loss to the properties.

 As an initial step NSF published a book on Tsunami “Muhuda Kalu Wuna/The Sea Darkens” for school children of 5 to 10 years.
