Sri Lanka Scientific & Technical Information Centre (SLSTIC) of the National Science Foundation was identified as the national focal point of Information networks on Science and Technology. As the coordinating body for networks in Sri Lanka SLSTIC established the Sri Lanka Scientific & Technical Information Network (SLSTINET) as the umbrella network.

Database includes url's of Sri Lankan web sites
- NEWS PAPER INDEX
Database includes newspaper articles within the years 1998-2000, in Daily News, Daily Observer, Daily Island, and Week end Observer and Sunday Island in the field of Science and Technology.
- NATURAL RESOURCES DATABASE
Database includes seminar and conference reports, reprints, pamphlets, journals (published in Sri Lanka) by Sri Lankans and articles published in international periodicals written by Sri Lankans in the field of natural resources at S & T libraries in Sri Lanka. This is a co-operative project of SLSTINET member libraries .
