The NSF has established 18 NSF National Committees and one Technical Committee to align with the Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for Sri Lanka 2011-2015 and the members were selected according to their expertise in the relevant field.
The main responsibility of the NSF National Committees is to advise the Board of Management (BoM) on development and implementation of its plans and programmes based on the NSF mandate while ensuring alignment with the Science, Technology & Innovation Strategy for Sri Lanka with an orientation towards National Development Objectives.
