The National Science Foundation invites applications from School Science Societies and University Science Societies registered with the NSF for financial assistance under the Grant Scheme to support Science Education and Popularization Programmes.

Objectives:

  • Uplift the standard of science education and popularization in Sri Lanka.
  • Support schools and universities in organizing science programmes.
  • Enhance public knowledge and skills on the latest developments in science and technology.

Eligible Programmes :

Science Popularization Programmes and Science Education Programmes :

  • Science days
  • Seminars
  • Competitions
  • Camps
  • Magazines
  • Radio programmes
  • Other NSF-recognized activities.

Funding Support:

  • Up to Rs. 200,000/- per programme per year (Schools/Universities for Science Popularization Programmes)
  • For approved programme funds will be released in 2 installments, final 10% reimbursed upon submission of reports and receipts of payments made.

How to Apply :

Completed applications along with programme information should submit to Director General, National Science Foundation at least 3 months prior to the programme schedule.
